Abstract
In the scope of this paper the mobility management aspects, particularly Inter-segment roaming and multi-segment usage, are considered in an integrated system of GPRS, T-UMTS and S-UMTS. For the Inter-segment roaming a functional design according to the RA (Routing Area) update proposed from 3GPP is proposed. Furthermore a consideration of the multi-segment usage in the future mobile communication systems is presented as a possible expansion of the Inter-segment roaming.
