Abstract W-CHAMB (Wireless Channel-oriented Ad-hoc Multi-hop Broadband System) is a new MAC scheme with the aim of being a candidate solution for future mesh networks. It is a TDMA based channel-oriented system, operating with a fully distributed access control, providing QoS (Quality of service) and multi-hop support. Channel control algorithms help this channel-oriented technique able to operate with the packet-oriented behaviours.
