Abstract We give an introduction to IEEE 802 Mesh technologies. The usage of Mesh technology for wireless networks motivated by the decreasing range of wireless high speed PHY technology. Deployment of numerousness APs is not desired and expansive, if each must be connected to a wired backbone. Wireless multi-hop transmissions help to decrease deployment costs.
