Abstract This paper proposes an algorithm for the generation of Rayleigh fading processes. This algorithm is based on the sum-of-sinusoids method proposed by Clarke and modified by Aulin. Clarkes model is taken as a reference and it is complemented considering the Zheng and C.Xiao model, obtaining as a result a well described algorithm for the generation of Rayleigh fading processes.
