- Cooperation agreements with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Aachen as well as the Chamber of Handicrafts in Aachen
- Cooperation with the Aachen Society for Innovation and Technology Transfer (AGIT) and companies concerned with promoting the economy in the border area
- 13 allied research institutes, which focus on areas ranging from biomedical technology to water-technology
- 57 spin-off companies established in the Aachen Technology Centre, 80% of which emanating from the University with the creation of over 2.000 new jobs (since 1984)
- 200 seminars and colloquia held annally in respect of vocational further training
- Regional industrial clubs
- 40 cooperation treaties with R&D-establishments around the world
